The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre presents the world premiere of Amnesia and Attempted Murder, a one-woman (attempted) murder mystery. Directed by Amy Flanagan (Sidework), and starring Jill Donnelly (Ragnarock), Amnesia and Attempted Murder will be presented bi-monthly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (307 West 26th Street). This open-ended run is set to begin Friday, April 3.

In this new one-woman show, audiences are invited inside the comic world of a strange family. Jane Higgins wakes up from a coma to find that she doesn’t recognize anyone. In an attempt to refresh Jane’s memory and plead their own innocence, her family members have made her a video. In this 30 minute comedy, we meet ten of Jane’s closest loved ones, all played with dazzling speed and humor by Jill Donnelly.

THE CREATIVE TEAM

JILL DONNELLY (Writer / Actress) Jill is an actress and improviser in New York City. Her recent theatre credits include: 365 Days/365 Plays (The Public Theatre), News in Revue (Coconut Grove Playhouse), How the Other Half Loves (Cortland Rep), and Crazy For You (National Tour). She began improvising at Oberlin College, and she has continued her studies in at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Currently, she performs at the UCB Theatre on the improv team, RAGNARÖCK, the sketch team, 27 KIDNEYS, and around town with the independent improv team, WILDER. AMY FLANAGAN (Writer / Director) Amy’s recent film and television credits include: The Last Film Festival, Sex and the City, The Movie, and Law and Order: Criminal Intent. Amy’s recent theatre credits include: Every Girl Gets Her Man at Soho Playhouse, and I Was Tom Cruise at the Connelly Theatre. She has been performing with the longform improv team, WILDER, for the last three years and co-created and acted in the improvised play, Sidework.

Amnesia and Attempted Murder will be performed on the following schedule at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (307 West 26th Street @ 8th Avenue): Thursday, March 26th at 8:00pm for $5, Fridays April 3rd and April 17th at 8:00pm for $10.
